Such places as Money Mart or Cash 4 Cheques is good provided you can demonstrate income and employment.
Be very cautious with small cash loans. They normally have an horrible APR and quick payback schedules. I had to take one out a few years ago and the APR was so high that I paid back nearly twice as much as I borrowed.
Eek! Don’t do it. Those places sound like an easy route, but they’re actually sucking you in to bankruptcy!! My sister works at one of those places and she’s always on the phone with collection calls. The interest you’ll pay to borrow the money is not worth it. Gifts don’t have to be expensive. It’s really the thought that counts! Merry Christmas!
